Our latest custom-built garden in City Beach is a contemporary yet laid-back design that is perfect for the west coast lifestyle. Architecturally designed by Tim Wright Architect, this striking two-level home has been carefully situated on a corner block to maximise space and premium ocean views.
With connected indoor/outdoor spaces and no boundary fence, we were excited by the opportunity to deliver a unique landscape design that would allow our clients to enjoy the immersive natural beauty of the area. Using our planting expertise, we created four highly individual and site-specific outdoor areas, including:
Unlike other projects that tend to have a similar style of planting throughout, this design was unique and allowed our landscape architects to showcase their extensive plant species knowledge. Some of the plants are still too small to really be appreciated yet, so we can’t wait to see how they grow and make their mark on the landscape.
Hidden within the central courtyard is the ‘crown jewel’ of this project: a two-tonne boulder from Margaret River that we specifically sourced for the space. Delivery and installation had to be highly expedited as a result of interstate travel restrictions. Now, not only do our clients have an impressive sculptural garden seat, they have a great story to tell!
When you live in a Mediterranean climate like Perth, what could be better than entertaining or relaxing outdoors? With this in mind, we designed a custom-built alfresco dining bar on the outdoor deck so our clients can enjoy their morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset.
